Letty is 7/8 thoroughbred with a little Irish draught from her sire’ dam, giving her bone and substance whilst retaining her athleticism. Her breeding is eventing based, coming through the old HIS scheme with the renowned stallions Hoarwithy and Quality Fair in her breeding.
She competed up to Pre-novice level during her career (and would have gone much further with a better rider than me!), Letty has now become our fifth brood mare of TawnyDun Stud. Sound all her competitive life, she stopped eventing due to tension problems in her back, but could easily have continued at a lower level, or gone further at dressage.
A maiden mare at 15 yrs old, I was so delighted when produced a stunning filly foal - by Walstead Top Of The Morning (progeny of the late Tiercel Top Cat) - who undoubtedly will exceed her dam’s competitive career with her raking stride and easy laid back temperament - traits from both dam and sire that should ensure she will excel on the eventing circuit.
